Our SLA prototype suppliers use the latest DSM Somos resins, many of which can duplicate the mechanical properties of numerous molded resins. Parts can be finished, painted, or even dyed to mimic a production look. SLA prototypes can often be turned around in a day or two.
By using an SLA part to create an RTV mold, our suppliers can produce short runs of tough urethane parts, which are often structural enough for testing and cosmetic models.
Prototype injection molds are often an excellent choice for low-volume production or volume ramp-up requirements.
